Adult ADHD Evaluation
A focused psychological evaluation for adults seeking clarity about attention, organization, and follow-through.
When focus feels inconsistent or everyday responsibilities take more effort than they seem to for others, it can be difficult to know what explains the pattern. An adult ADHD evaluation looks at your history, current symptoms, and daily functioning to determine whether ADHD, another condition, or a combination offers the clearest explanation.

A Clearer Understanding of Your Experience
You may have wondered about ADHD for years, recognized a familiar pattern later in life, or found that existing treatment does not fully address your difficulties. The goal is to understand your experience and identify useful next steps.
What the Evaluation Includes
- Developmental, educational, work, and mental health history, with relevant records when available
- A clinician-led diagnostic interview addressing current and childhood symptoms, onset, and impairment across settings
- Validated rating measures and information from someone who knows you well, when feasible and appropriate
- Assessment of other explanations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep, medical concerns, medication, and substance use
- A written report integrating findings and treatment recommendations
- A feedback session to explain the findings and discuss next steps
Who This Is For
Adults 18 and older seeking diagnostic clarification about persistent attention, organization, impulsivity, or restlessness concerns. You do not need an existing ADHD diagnosis to discuss whether an evaluation is appropriate.
More Than a Screening Questionnaire
A screening questionnaire can help identify concerns to discuss. A diagnosis requires a fuller assessment of symptoms, history, functioning, and other possible explanations. Rating scales are interpreted alongside the clinical interview rather than used alone.
An Evaluation Matched to the Question
This is a focused adult diagnostic evaluation. Broader cognitive testing, learning disability assessment, and documentation for specialized accommodation requirements may call for a different scope. We discuss those needs during consultation before determining the appropriate evaluation.
What You Receive
Your written report explains the diagnostic findings and practical recommendations. During feedback, we discuss what the results mean for treatment planning and daily functioning. With your permission, the findings can be shared with your treating clinician.
Discuss Your Evaluation
Schedule a complimentary evaluation consultation to discuss your concerns, location, and documentation needs. We will clarify the evaluation scope, fee, and timeline before you decide how to proceed.
Questions About Your Evaluation
Can anxiety, trauma, or sleep difficulties look like ADHD?
They can affect attention and organization. The evaluation considers other explanations and conditions that may occur alongside ADHD so recommendations fit the full clinical picture.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. The evaluation includes integrated written findings, treatment recommendations, and a feedback session.
Can the evaluation be completed online?
Telehealth is available across Florida and eligible PSYPACT states when clinically appropriate. Your location and any documentation requirements are confirmed during consultation.
Does this include medication prescribing?
No. This is a psychological evaluation. The findings may help inform a discussion with a prescribing clinician.
Is a full neuropsychological battery always needed?
Testing is selected to the clinical question. Broader cognitive or learning concerns may require a separately scoped evaluation.
Will a diagnosis guarantee accommodations?
No. Schools, employers, and testing organizations set their own requirements. Discuss the intended use of your report before scheduling so the evaluation scope can be considered.
